Instructions & Tips to Stitch the Constellations

Follow our tutorials and top tips for stitching up your Space Centre Tote Bag!

This is a great project for beginners as you can just sew over the simplistic constellation shapes. 

Go slowly, and whether you sew every constellation, or just your favourites, the tote bag will soon come to life with shiny metallic stitches. 

Take your gold & silver metallic thread, cut down to roughly 30cm (the metallic thread can get tangled if it is too long). 

Thread your needle and tie a knot in the end. Then find your starting point from inside the bag. 

 

Chain stitch

We used chain stitch on some of our constellations to give a chunkier outline. Follow our tutorial below to try this embroidery technique.
