A DIY tote bag kit to sew what you have grown, or stitch your favourite vegetables to bring the canvas bag to life with colourful embroidery.
Skill level: 🪡🪡 Confident Beginner to Intermediate (great for anyone wanting a longer embroidery project to develop their skills) Time to complete: 🕓 5–25 hours (still looks great with only 1 or 2 veggies stitched!)
Covered with lovely hand-drawn illustrations of vegetables, our tote already looks gorgeous without any extra stitches. Perfect as a gardening bag and equally useful for grocery shopping and everyday use.
This is a great sized bag with generous faux suede outer pockets, perfect for keeping tools handy or for carrying bottles home from the grocery shop.
The complete kit includes instructions, needle and 14 colour threads to get creative with.
We wanted this range to celebrate the simple stuff: Growing plants, cooking fresh meals, taking time out for a new hobby. Why not challenge yourself to grow each vegetable printed on the bag, so it becomes covered with colour as you become more green fingered.
What’s inside:
Natural cotton canvas tote bag with faux leather handles and pockets (W 42 × H 40 cm × D 10 cm)
14 colour embroidery threads
Embroidery needle and flower shaped thread-board
Printed instructions with QR code linking to tutorials
Why you’ll love it:
A fun long-term project that grows with you as you practise your stitching skills
Perfect for gardeners, food lovers or anyone who enjoys slow crafting
No extra equipment needed, it is ready to sew straight away
A beautiful and practical everyday tote, ideal for the garden or supermarket
Got this bag for my sister who is doing a gardening course. Took me 3 intensive weeks to stitch the bag but mainly because I didn’t follow the stitching format given. Was very pleased with the outcome as was my sister. Would suggest that it’s a big project for a beginner if you do all the veg (16 in all) but is a brilliant project for an intermediate who wants to have a bit of fun. I used felting to get the 3d peas and felting is VERY easy. The bag is good quality so it’s worth it to do as the end product hopefully gets years of use! Would like to put a photo of the end product but there is no option to do so here…

A Great Kit
The bag is very good quality canvas with pockets on the back. It comes with all the threads needed, instructions and I love the carrot thread holder. I haven’t started it yet but am looking forward to getting going on it. This would make a fab gift for a stitching friend.
