Watch our newest Bird Collection in Stop Motion š¦
This week I am so excited to launch our new 'Stitch Your Birds' collection!
Some projects aren't meant to be rushed, and our new Bird Collection is proof of that. To celebrate the launch, we worked with the amazing Loveday Social to create a stop motion video celebrating the joy & beauty of this bird embroidery project.
(We have used them previously for a number of projects including our gorgeous Flower Range Stop Motion Video, which you can findĀ here)

A bird-watcher's story, stitch by stitch
In this shoot we see through the lens of a bird-watcher - the new hand embroidery kit Pouch And Tote Bag are brought to life in stop motion animation.Ā
Watch as the pouch fills with embroidery threads and the tote is packed with a bird-watcher's book and binoculars, ready for a day out. Then, a robin is spotted, and stitched, right before your eyes.
It's a playful way to show what this collection is really about: taking a moment you love (whether that's bird-watching, or just noticing the birds outside your window) and turning it into something you make with your own hands.
Inspired by the idea that your embroidery projects shouldn't be stuck in a drawer, we designed this DIY embroidery kit to grow with you: add colour to one bird at a time, and watch your project flourish over weeks (or months) into your own embroidered piece.
I hope you like it!!

From idea to embroidered artwork
The Bird Collection started with Sara Abu-Hejleh's illustration: 11 hand-drawn British birds, brought to life on paper before a single stitch was added. Inspired by the idea that your embroidery projects shouldn't be stuck in a drawer, we designed this DIY embroidery kit to grow with you: add colour to one bird at a time, and watch your project flourish over weeks (or months) into your own embroidered piece.
Meet the kits

A DIY pouch kit that flourishes as you sew over the gorgeous birds and bring each feather to life with colourful embroidery. Covered in hand-drawn illustrations of 11 common British birds, the pouch already looks beautiful before a single stitch - and gets better with every one you add.
Skill level: Confident Beginner to Intermediate embroiderer Time to complete: 4+ hours per bird

Featuring the same gorgeous bird illustrations, our DIY embroidery tote bag kit lets you give each of the 11 birds their own colourful feathers, bringing the canvas tote to life stitch by stitch.
Both kits include easy-to-follow video tutorials, so whether you're a confident beginner or a more experienced embroiderer, you'll have everything you need to bring your birds to life, one feather at a time.
